ACTIVATE THE GPS CONTROL PANEL

Fire up a registry editor (eg http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/ph ... itor.shtml )
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings
Delete the DWORD marked "hide"
Add a DWORD called "Group" and give it the value of "2" (dec)
The GPS panel will now show up in your connection settings.

Shadow, I'm new to the PPC world from the Treo 650, so please forgive if this is an incredibly ignorant question.

What does the GPS control panel allow? I was considering Franson GpsGate to allow multiple programs to access the output of a single BT GPS. Does WM5 allow for this natively?

EDIT:

Found the answer near the end of this article. Yes, it does...

When you edit the registry it enables you to change a couple GPS settings via Settings -> System -> GPS. You can do the following..

1) choose the port that programs will use to obtain GPS data

2) specify the hardware port to which your GPS device is connected and baud rate

3) specify if you want WM5 to mange your access to GPS devices

I don't know how usefull this will be to anyone..
