You can download the tethered hack "PhoneInterfaceLibrary_tether_hack.prc" if you search and find a source for it.
Install this in memory on your device, it should replace the stock PhoneInterfaceLibrary file. This version disables the flag that reports the device is being tethered and the device will appear (to the carrier) to be in native mode.
SDHC Card:
You can get your phone to support SDHC cards by loading this file: "SlotDriver-SDIO-sdsd.prc"
Install that in memory and you should be able to use 8gb and higher cards now available.
Custom Roms:
We are mainly waiting on palm to release a rom upgrade in order to look further into this. It's possible to implement without this yes, but it will be a great shortcut to have it available to us first.
